Your account and security
Your own details, two-step verification, passkeys, and which emails you get.
Everything under your avatar at the top right belongs to you, not to your organization. Your colleagues and administrators can't change it for you.
Personal info
Your name, photo and mobile phone. The phone here is for account notices; two-step verification keeps its own number.
Your email address can't be changed from this form, since changing it needs verification. Email support@givable.com if yours needs updating.
Security
Two-step verification
A second check at sign-in, so a stolen password isn't enough. Two methods:
- Authenticator app: codes from an app like 1Password or Authy.
- Text message: a six-digit code sent to your phone.
An authenticator app is the stronger choice. Text messages can be intercepted or diverted, and they need a signal, which a gala venue may not have.
Turn on both and Givable asks which to use by default, or you can pick at each sign-in.
Backup codes
Once you've set up two-step verification, Givable gives you backup codes: single-use codes that get you in when your phone is lost, broken or flat.
Save them somewhere that isn't your phone, such as your password manager. You can regenerate them at any time, which invalidates the old set immediately.
Passkeys
A passkey signs you in with Touch ID, Windows Hello or a security key instead of a password. Select Add a passkey and follow your device's prompt. Add one per device you use, and remove any you no longer have.
Password, devices and activity
Change your password here, see the devices currently signed in, and review recent security activity on your account. A session you don't recognize is worth acting on straight away: change your password, then email support.
Notifications
Choose which emails you get from this organization, grouped by type. Changes save as you make them.
Some notifications are turned off by the organization for everyone, and those are shown but can't be switched on here.
Language and region
Set how dates, times and numbers are formatted for you, and your time zone. A preview shows the result.
Givable's interface is in English only at the moment. These settings change date and number formatting, not the language.
